Air heater system details control points

Aug 08, 2019

The air heater is resistively heated and looks like a flanged electric heater.

The air heater is installed horizontally by two heaters (240kW and 160kW). The installation is in the form of legs. The 240kW electric heater is divided into three groups. Each group has a power of 80kW and 160kW electric heaters are divided into three. Group, each group of power 53.3kW, using "△" connection.

The air heater is temperature controlled by the temperature control table ST1. After the temperature signal of the outlet is collected by ST1, after PID control, a 4-20 mA power adjustment signal is output to the SCR trigger module, thereby controlling the output power of the heater, which can be realized. Output 0-400kW stepless power adjustment.

By energizing the electric heater, it heats up, thereby heating the flowing medium within the container and causing the medium to reach a set temperature value at the outlet.

The temperature alarm meter ST2 detects the 6-way temperature inside the heater. When the flow rate is too low or no flow, the heater will dry out. At this time, any internal temperature exceeds the over-temperature setting value in the meter. It is self-locking and is accompanied by an alarm indicator. The heater must be reset manually before it can be restarted.

The system is equipped with a pressure alarm interlocking system. The operation of the control cabinet is interlocked with the user's system pressure. The interlock signal is provided by the DCS. The heater is allowed to start only when the medium pressure is normal. During the re-operation of the heater, when the SCR is over temperature, overcurrent or lack of equal fault occurs inside the thyristor, the heater will be cut off and an alarm signal will be sent to the DCS. The system has multiple chains and can be used in conjunction with other devices. Please do not short-circuit.
