B type thermocouple

Mar 08, 2021

product description:

The positive electrode (BP) is a platinum-rhodium alloy, which contains 30% rhodium and 70% platinum. The positive electrode is platinum-rhodium 30.

The negative electrode (BN) is a platinum-rhodium alloy with a rhodium content of 6%. The negative electrode is platinum-rhodium 6.

Use environment:

1: Suitable for oxidizing and inert atmospheres, and also for short-term use in vacuum.

2: Not suitable for reducing atmosphere or atmosphere containing metal or non-metal vapor.

Advantages of B-type thermocouple:

1: Type B thermocouple does not need to use thermocouple compensation wire, because the thermoelectric potential is less than 3μV in the range of 0~50℃.

2: Has the highest accuracy in the thermocouple series

3: It has the best stability in the thermocouple series,

4: The measuring temperature range is very wide,

5: Long service life

6: The upper limit of the measurement temperature is relatively high

Disadvantages of type B thermocouple

1: The thermoelectric potential rate is small,

2: Low sensitivity,

3: The mechanical strength decreases under high temperature,

4: Very sensitive to pollution,

5: Precious metal materials are expensive,

Measuring temperature range of type B thermocouple

1: Type B thermocouple can measure the temperature of the medium from 0 to 1800°C.

2: Type B thermocouple can be used for a long time at 1300~1600℃.

3: Type B thermocouple is the best thermocouple for high-temperature measurement.
