J type thermocouple

Mar 08, 2021

Introduction

The nominal chemical composition of the positive electrode (JP) of the J-type thermocouple is pure iron,

The negative electrode (JN) of the J-type thermocouple is a copper-nickel alloy.

Use environment:

The J-type thermocouple can be used in a vacuum, oxidation, reduction, and inert atmosphere,

Advantages of J-type thermocouple:

1: J-type thermocouple has good linearity,

2: The term electromotive force is large.

3: High sensitivity.

4: Stability.

5: Good uniformity.

6: The price is cheap.

Disadvantages of J-type thermocouple

1: The positive iron of the J-type thermocouple oxidizes quickly at high temperatures, so the operating temperature is limited.

It cannot be used directly in a vulcanizing atmosphere at high temperatures without protection.

Measuring temperature range of type B thermocouple:

The coverage measurement temperature range of the iron-constantan thermocouple is -200~1200℃, but the temperature range usually used is 0~750℃
