K-type thermocouple

Mar 08, 2021

Introduction:

The K-type thermocouple is a kind of temperature sensor. The K-type thermocouple is usually used with display instruments, recording instruments, and electronic regulators.

The K-type thermocouple is usually composed of main components such as temperature sensing elements, installation fixtures, and junction boxes.

The diameter of K-type thermocouple wire is generally 1.2mm~4.0mm.

The positive electrode of K-type thermocouple: Ni-Cr, negative electrode: Ni-Si

Use environment:

K-type thermocouples can directly measure the surface temperature of liquid vapor and gaseous media and solids in the various products range from 0℃ to 1300℃.

Advantages of K-type thermocouple:

1. The thermal electromotive force is large

2. Good linearity;

3. High sensitivity,

4. Stability

5. Good uniformity,

6. Strong anti-oxidation performance,

7. Cheap

Disadvantages of K-type thermocouple:

1. The thermoelectric motive force changes greatly when compared with precious metal thermocouples;

2. Not suitable for reducing gas environment;

3. Affected by short-range sorting, errors will occur.
