N-type thermocouple

Mar 08, 2021

Introduction:

The N-type thermocouple is a kind of the latest international standardized thermocouple. Its comprehensive performance is better than that of the K-type thermocouple. The N-type thermocouple is a kind of thermocouple with a promising future.

The positive electrode (NP) of thermocouple: Ni-Cr-Si alloy,

The negative electrode (NN): nickel silicon magnesium

Use environment:

N-type thermocouples cannot be directly used in sulfur, reducing or reducing, oxidizing alternate atmospheres, and vacuum at high temperatures, nor are they recommended for use in weak oxidizing atmospheres.

Advantages of N-type thermocouple:

1. It has a strong anti-oxidation ability when the temperature is below 1300℃.

2. Long-term stability and short-term thermal cycle reproducibility are good.

3. Good resistance to nuclear radiation and low temperature.

4. The N-type thermocouple has good linearity.

5. The thermal electromotive force is relatively large.

6. High sensitivity.

7. Good stability and uniformity.

8. Strong anti-oxidation performance.

9. The price is cheap.

10. Not affected by short-range order.

Disadvantages of N-type thermocouple

1: The material of the N-type thermocouple is harder than the K-type, and it is more difficult to process;

2: The thermal expansion coefficient of the N-type thermocouple is 15% lower than that of stainless steel, so the outer tube of the N-type armored thermocouple should be made of NiCrSi/NiSi alloy;

3: The non-linear error is larger in the range of -200~400℃.

Measuring temperature range of N-type thermocouple:

In the range of 400~1300℃, the linearity of the thermoelectric characteristics of the N-type thermocouple is better than that of the K-type thermocouple;

, The non-linear error is larger in the low-temperature range (-200~400℃).
