E-type thermocouple

Mar 08, 2021

Introduction:

The positive electrode (EP) is nickel-chromium 10 alloy,

The negative electrode (EN) is a copper-nickel alloy with a nominal chemical composition of 55% copper, 45% nickel, and a small amount of manganese, cobalt, iron, and other elements.

Use environment:

1: E-type thermocouples cannot be used directly for sulfur at high temperatures. In a reducing atmosphere, the uniformity of thermoelectric potential is poor.

2: It is suitable for an environment with low humidity.

3: It can be used in oxidizing and inert atmospheres, and is widely used.

Advantages of E-type thermocouple:

1: The thermal electromotive force is large.

2: Sensitivity is the highest among all thermocouples, measuring temperature can measure tiny temperature changes.

3: E thermocouple also has good stability.

4: Anti-oxidation performance is better than T-type thermocouple (copper-constantan), J-type thermocouple (iron-constantan).

5: The price is cheap.

Disadvantages of E-type thermocouple:

1: E-type thermocouple is not very sensitive to corrosion in a high humidity atmosphere.

2: The uniformity of thermoelectric potential is poor.

Measuring temperature range of E-type thermocouple:

The operating temperature of the thermocouple is -200~900℃
