High-temperature oxidation resistance: In a high-temperature oxidizing atmosphere, a dense quartz protective layer is formed on the surface of the silicon molybdenum rod to prevent the continued oxidation of Mosi2. When the temperature of the silicon molybdenum rod is greater than 1700 degrees, the SiO2 protective layer with a melting point of 1710 degrees melts. Due to the surface tension, the SiO2 melts into droplets and loses its protective effect. When the silicon molybdenum rod continues to be used in an oxidizing atmosphere, the SiO2 protective layer is regenerated.
