It is called a cartridge heater in foreign countries, and it is also a kind of image name, because the cartridge shell is cylindrical, and one end is blocked. It is called a single-head heating tube in China.

        The mold single-head electric heating tube plays an extremely important role in mold heating. Due to its unique characteristics, it is widely used in mold heating. Let me talk about the design requirements and characteristics of the mold single-head electric heating tube.

        Steel heating is a heating method that must be used in the design of almost all plastic molding molds. It can be designed as one-way wiring, two-way wiring, and other forms. The material can be seam pipes, seamless pipes, stainless steel pipes, etc., and the characteristic is heat loss Small, high thermal efficiency, simple wiring, can be designed as 220V or 380V according to needs, and the wiring is flexible and diverse. However, due to the limitation of mold single-head electric heating tube material and processing technology, it is necessary to pay attention to its own characteristics in mold design.

       (1) Generally, the single-head electric heating tube of the mold usually has a long cold end at both ends, which cannot play a heating role. Therefore, it is recommended to use the imitation imported mold single-head electric heating tube produced by our company. Its characteristic is that there is only one cold end. The cold end is usually about 1CM.

        (2) The power design of the general mold single-head electric heating tube should not exceed the limit of 10 watts/cm. Such as a 30 cm long heating tube, the power should not exceed 300 watts as much as possible. If the design power exceeds this limit, the surface load of the heating tube will be high, and the steel tube will be susceptible to oxidation and corrosion, causing short circuits. The company’s special single-head heating element for imitating imported molds can be designed with a power of 20 watts/cm (requires good heat conduction. The clearance fit is generally within 0.05MM, and the size accuracy of the SLM heating element produced by the company is +-0.05MM.


Performance requirements of mold single-head electric heating tube

1) Heating time: Under the test voltage, the time for the component to rise from the ambient temperature to the test temperature should not be more than 15min

2) Rated power deviation, under the condition of sufficient heat generation, the deviation of the component's rated power should not exceed the range specified below

3) Insulation resistance: Cold insulation resistance should not be less than 50MΩ during a factory inspection

4) The insulation withstand voltage strength component should be kept for 1 min under the specified test conditions and test voltage without flashover and breakdown.
